Your Learning Path

We've designed this program to match how people actually learn financial skills. Each phase builds on what came before, so you're never lost.

1

Before You Start

Most people arrive with different backgrounds. We spend the first week getting everyone comfortable with basic concepts and setting realistic expectations about what you'll be able to do after the program.

2

During the Program

You'll spend twelve weeks working through actual budgeting scenarios. We meet twice a week, and between sessions you'll practice with your own financial situations or provided case studies.

3

After Completion

Finishing the course isn't the end. You'll have access to our resource library and can attend quarterly review sessions where we discuss new approaches or answer questions about situations you've encountered.

4

Ongoing Support

Former participants can join our community group where people share what's working for them. It's helpful when you're dealing with something new and want to hear from others who've faced similar challenges.

Common Questions We Hear

What if I have zero financial background?

That's actually pretty common. About half our participants come in without formal finance training. We start with fundamentals and build from there, so you're not expected to know anything beforehand.

How much time should I set aside each week?

Classes run for three hours twice weekly. Most people spend another four to five hours on practice work between sessions. Some weeks require more time, especially when you're working on your capstone project.

Can I apply this to my small business?

Yes. While we teach general budgeting principles, many participants adapt what they learn to business contexts. We include several business-focused examples throughout the curriculum.

What happens if I miss a session?

We record all sessions and make them available within 24 hours. You can catch up on your own time. That said, the in-person discussions are valuable, so we encourage attending live when possible.

When does the next program begin?

Our autumn 2025 session starts September 8th. We also run a program in January 2026 for those who prefer a new year start. Registration opens approximately six weeks before each session.

Is there any certification at the end?

You'll receive a completion certificate showing the topics covered and hours completed. It's not a professional credential, but it demonstrates you've worked through comprehensive budget training.

Who You'll Learn From

Our instructors come from actual finance roles. They've dealt with the same challenges you're trying to solve and can speak from experience about what works.
